In the book, Hands on Hacking by Matthew Hickey and Jennifer Arcuri you don't just start being a hero on the computer。 Instead, this book actually requires you to start by being a bit sharp and malicious。 Of course, it's not telling you to go and steal information online or rob a bank and each step you need to use to accomplish this attack。 Obviously, it's implying how you need to take into account what a real black hat hacker would do and realize the main purpose that they would be entering into a company or even a personal account。 What I still find quite pleasing about this book is that it's not only explaining how to hack or to be a good hacker but to work with companies and other domains of hacking to provide protection。 No doubt, that many devices, which are mainly electronic and connected to some type of computer can be coincidently hacked or bugged as well。 Additionally, for those starting out and want a career in the field of ethical hacking, this is very well detailed to provide clear-cut information for the many programs you can use in your hacking toolbox, setting it all up and even just in-depth information about the career you are taking on and what to expect。 One that got me at the beginning of the book, which I never knew one thing about was the teams of hackers。 Despite knowing about the types of hats online, there are different color titled team hackers in the business world。 It's a bit more referred to as what aspects of security protection that they cover rather than the bad or good they are doing。 The colors, in this case, is red, blue, and purple。 However, when it does come to choosing a team for a company, purple is the one to go with, as it does both jobs of red and blue。 Also, easy to see why, when you add those two colors together the result is an all-in-one color of purple。Another thing about the book that is quite useful is that being a recent copy on hacking, it's clear to explain and share all the programs to use and how to proceed with them to get the information that most devious hackers would be aiming for。 You can even use this as a great way to practice protecting your own accounts and cached information that might be open for others to snatch。 There are details on using Linux, known for most hacking, but also how other OS and programs are used to get some information for the purpose of practice and knowledge。 I honestly never read or even seen a book quite educational ethical hacking as well as the security for the needs of businesses。 Even for personal use or practices, this isn't such a bad way to learn and makes a clear sense of the entire opposite position you must play to actually be a hero。 Lastly, I'd recommend this if you want to have an expert job in penetration testing and security, as it's quite an elaborate and I would consider being a well-established book by authors that know what they are talking about and have expertise in the field of hacking。"I have been given a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion and review" 。。。more
